1. QUESTION: Camera will not power on. What is wrong?
ANSWER: Check to make sure you have the batteries inserted properly in the tray. Make sure you look at the graphic on each individual slot for batteries so that you insert them as they are pictured on the diagram for that particular slot. Make sure, when pushing the battery tray in, you push until you hear the tray make a clicking sound which would indicate the tray has been properly inserted and locked into place.
2. QUESTION: Which position do I put the toggle button in to operate the camera?
ANSWER: When looking at the bottom of the camera, and when the text on the bottom looks correct, the toggle button operates in the following ways. All the way to the right is the "off" button and when turning to that button, the camera itself will turn off and view screen will show "good bye". Pushing the toggle switch all the way to the left is "test" mode. In this mode you can setup the camera, setup the shot and check images. You will know the camera is in test mode when the view screen is on. To activate the camera into the "on" mode, you must put it to the center position. If the camera was in test, the screen will say "good bye" and then you will see the red and blue LEDs will flash at the same time so that you know you turned the camera on. If you turn the camera to on from the off position, the red and blue LEDs will still flash for you to acknowledge the camera is now active.
3. QUESTION: Why is there a blue flashing LED on the camera?
ANSWER: That blue flashing LED is to warn you that the view screen is on and the camera is in the test mode. This feature is for when the view screen is covered or if you accidentally turn the toggle switch to "test" instead of "on".
4. QUESTION: I can take a "test" image but the camera will not take picture in "on" mode.
ANSWER: The most common reason for this to take place is the user has gone into Time-Lapse Mode or Timers on the cameras menu system. In order to get into the menu to see how those features, you must turn them on first. Most people turn them on so that they can see the functions or options and then forget to turn them back off and leaving them on the defaults which are 00:00:00. The end result is either telling the camera to only be on from 00:00:00 to 00:00:00 or to take a picture every 00:00:00. Make sure that when you go to these features, turn them off when you are done exploring.
